more lost than found jared herd

I received this book free through www.booksneeze.com. I am giving my reviwe freely. I will not be paid for said review.
Book: MORE LOST THAN FOUND – Finding a way back to faith. By Jared Herd

As I read this book I felt like I was talking to someone I knew. Someone I could trust. I remember going to church as a child. It was a small community church. As I was older married, divorced, married again. I went through a variety of different churches. In the latter of the churches I went to I did feel lost. This book opened me to that. Though going to a church.. a building with walls, words, yada yada.
While reading this book I was awakened to the fact that I was found. I came full circle and found myself in the same type of church growing up. Imagine that. It too “ , not leaps” to get there. In his book he talks about music. Music is one of the most powerful things for me. Just this week I was ready to give in. Music stopped me and brought me back to where I needed to be.
Some how I really connected with this book.  “Having faith,in faith” .
Thank you to Jared Herd. I look forward to reading more of his books.

Our Lat great Hope By Ronnie Fyold

Our Last Great Hope
By Ronnie Floyd

I received this book through Booksneeze.com. For receiving it I voluntarily said I would give my own review upon reading the book. I will not be paid for this review.

Ronnie shows us that we all need to start redoing the things we do. That by doing this we will help to change the future and the way of thinking, acting and believing. Through all the different media outlets there are we see and hear many things that are not true. This has made people into uncaring and loving people.

For me sometimes it is hard for me to know what is real and not in the news. It seems that each “outlet” wants to be the first, the most exciting, shocking, heartwarming.. you get the picture.

Ronnie aslo questions us in many ways through out the book. Making us look back and forward on things. What do we need to change? What do we need to just improve on? What is just as it should be? How do we change the things that need to be change..?

The deeper I got into the book, I realized that my faith needs to keep growing. That faith should never stop growing. I need to be more passionate.

Nothing is random, Right? Was it random that this is the book I choose from Booksneeze.com? I do not think it so, I was meant to read the words on these pages. I needed my eyes to be opened wider, this opened my hear and soul more also.

Prayer, I struggle with this. I do a general “hey dude (yes I call god dude) this is what I want to pray about. Ronnie talks about how this is what God wants from us. We are to challenge ourselves to change ourselves and to help change others.

I will continue to change each day. To pray with UMPH, as a dear friend said when he was alive. He found God shortly before he passed away. He really knew how to pray.. UMPH was it.

Thank you Ronnie for this book. You woke me up, in a different light. My eyes are brighter.

close enough to hear god breath, by greg paul

Greg relates experiences that he has encounter throughout his life. He can see how there are many different ways that if you listen, you can see that God works in everyone's life. We may not see it but, Greg brings to light that God is always there. He shares stories of many that have fallen off the path, and have come back.

One story he shares is of a man that had a childhood that I would never have wished on anyone. This man as a boy, held on to the hope that no matter what was happening God was still by his side. The man was able to over come the abusive childhood. Though he retold his story, the past would still haunt him.

Some of the book, I did struggle a bit with, I had to put it down for a few hours or even days to reflect on what I was reading. Some times I struggled a bit to much and moved on to the next section. I do plan to reread this book in the future. Maybe than the things I did struggle with will be more clear.
Greg has shown me that I need to open my ears to listen, open my eyes to see, hold out my hand to touch, and to smell the freshness that God gives all of us.

I received this book free and am not being paid for my review. I have voluntarily agreed to be open and honest about my view of the book. Booksneeze.com

Stumbling into Grace by Lisa Harper

"So today I have been think" She says over and over.. Repetitiveness is the best way for me to learn. I love the name of the book also as I stumble through life, each stumble learning something new. I "stumbled upon this book on BOOKSNEEZ.COM.

Each Chapter is broken down..Always starting with a Quote, than a mini "story" how she (the writer) had (stumbled upon something), thus giving her something to learn. Something that Jesus himself was teaching all those years ago. She would relate each lesson to a place in the Bible, showing just that. At the end of each chapter there is a prayer, group discussion ( I read this alone), and lastly journal question.

Scary, binding, fattening, dangerous, little, sweet, are the first few things that are shown..

I learned deeper how God does care. That taking time to see outside the box. To take a day just for God.

I would suggest this book for mother, daughter, aunt, grandmother, and sister. I laughed at many things.. and I also cried, there were I will admit times I even yelled. But I know it is okay to stumble, as to stumble is to learn.

It's not about ME By Max Lucado

I have to say that this is my first Max Lucado book that I have read front to back. It's NOT about ME, really awakens me to what it IS all about.. It is NOT about me it IS about God!. Max brings every day things to light that we should realise it is for HIM. I am one of the many that God has entrusted with what many others see as a hard life. No, it is not.. thank you to Max for reminding me that I am here for God not for me. A couple held on to faith through the hardest time in their life. They truly lived for God.  not me for HIM

No He Can't How Barack obama is dismantling hope and change

This is the first political book I have ever read. What drew me to is was the title. Also it was the only one that was interesting enough to choose from on Booksneeze.com. This is the first book for this site that I have chosen.

What kept me reading was, what I believe is the truth. I enjoyed the format of the chapters. Each chapter explained a promise that was made and then broken.  It was easy for me, as a armature political reader. It is oblivious that Kevin is no fan of the president, for that matter neither am I. He made so many points about the things that have not and have been done. To me all in the race to hurt more Americans then to help. I really have no way to relate this to any other political book, I can say that I think it will get me into reading more. I would also recommend this book to a first timer reading a political book.

serving up trouble by Jill Shavis

Angie was just content with her life, or so she thought. She was in the line in the bank, not having much time left before work. That day would change her life for ever. It all happen so fast. She was on the ground and opening her eyes, seeing Sam, holding her.

She was over her ex. She liked her job at the cafe. She didn't care that her parents still wanted her to be something more. She was content. Till this day changed her. The bank had been robbed. This left her rattled. But she met Sam. She also did not know that this was the start of breaking a ring of thieves.

She started to notice a man, the same man she saw in a sketch at the police station. She saw him going down the alley next to her work, in the bookstore she went to. Sam did not believe her. No one else had seem him, so how could she have.

Sam was coming to the cafe more. Her friend and boss tried to convince her that he was there for more then to protect her from the man in the alley, He had started to threaten her, Sam was still unsure.

Like the bank robbery, it came fast. It also surprised her. How could the little couple from the book store. be the leaders of the gang. The gang that was stealing identities?

After it was all over.  Angie knew she could do it. She could really move on. Even realize that she was in Love with Sam

I really could not put this book down. It left me intrigued. In many ways I could relate ith Angie. Not having supportive family. Having a bad relationship and not sure about where life was taking me. One day I hope to be able to find love like she did in Sam. Like her I have moved on with furthering my education.

Landry's Law-Kelsey roberts

It was a small town that she moved to. One of those rare towns that everyone knows everyone and everything. She tried to blend in quietly, She thought she had. Then her  dates started to be killed. The people in the small town looked at Savannah .Why would it not be her she moved from nowhere. No one really knew her.

Landry, was back in town for a few years, he to had moved out.. not likening the small town life. He was the sheriff. When he got the first call, he saw her... Savannah he had not seen her in years, now there she was at Misty's. Ramblings about photo's..

The gee-gees , randy the suicide of the classmate on graduation day....

In reviews you are not to give it all away..

Let me say this much.. there are several deaths.. you will think that you have figured out the killer.. or if you are like me .. will think you know who it is and then be disappointed in the end that you were right all along.. About the killer .. but very happy about the outcome in the end..

I have to say just once it would be interesting to have the twist of the love plot switch...

Trust a Cowboy By Judy Christenberry

The Lazy L-

Well who says you need to read books in the order they are written.. This series you really do not have to.. Each book is a tale of one of the family members.. This one was all about good ole' Pete. He was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. He knew he messed up and knew that he couldn't give up. He

He had support and well threats from family to do the right thing and to not mess it up. He was determined to do both. He surprised his sister, grand-dad and all the rest of the family on how he changed. Most of all he surprised himself and Mary-Jo.

I enjoyed this story as it really shows how much a family can care about each other.. Stand strong and put family members in place when it is called for. A sweet love story that once I started I had a hard time putting down.

The Christmas Cowboy By Judy Chrisenberry

This is a story that starts with a young lady searching for something, rather someone. She goes to the Lazy L to learn to ride horses, with not intending for anything more. She thinks she needs to prove herself to this one person, that she is going to meet after 20 years.

When she reaches the ranch she is welcomed by all.. that is except Hank, the man that is to teach her to ride. Little does he know, that he will not only teach her to be a cowboy, she will teach him to be a man.

In the end Andrea finds way more then she ever expected when she left New York City.
